La pasión y muerte de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, nos dirige a considerar dos cosas: la maldad de los hombres que estaban empeñados en acabar con el Justo, y el amor infinito de Jesús. El pecado es la entrada del hombre hacia la muerte, sin embargo, cuanto más grande y perseverante es la malicia del hombre, tanto más grande se revela el amor infinito de Dios. Por amor, el Siervo Doliente se ha preparado para el gran y único prodigio, la salvación de los hombres. Por lo tanto, este amor extremo de Jesús, nos exige una profunda conversión. Tenemos que renunciar a nuestros pecados que no solo nos lastiman a nosotros, sino que también, lastiman a los que viven a nuestro alrededor. Nuestra predicación y nuestro estilo de vida no pueden ser contrarios al evangelio, ni mucho menos pueden estar atados a las miserias que el hedonismo o materialismo ofrecen. Cristo no puede estar encadenado ni por el pecado ni por los estándares sociales malévolos. Cristo tiene que ser predicado con toda su intensidad. Nuestra predicación y estilo de vida deben depurar al mundo de la ignorancia y del pecado que excluye al hombre de la felicidad eterna.
The passion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ leads us to consider two things: the wickedness of men who were focused on ending the Just One and the infinite love of Jesus. Sin is man’s entry into death; however, the more persistent the wickedness of man is, the greater the infinite love of God is revealed. Out of love, the Suffering Servant has prepared this great and unique miracle, the salvation of men. Therefore, this extreme love of Jesus demands a profound conversion. We must give up our sins, which not only hurt us but also hurt those who live around us. Our preaching and our lifestyle cannot be contrary to the Gospel; thus, it cannot be tied down to the miseries that hedonism and materialism offer. Christ cannot be chained by sin or by malicious social standards. Christ must be preached in all his fullness. Jesus offers us everlasting freedom from sin and death. Our preaching and lifestyle must purge the world of ignorance and sin, which excludes the man of eternal happiness.
