Priest and Seminarian Appreciation Day draw 300

Priests and seminarians from KC-SJ and KCK gather for annual golf event

The 25th annual Seminarians and Priests Appreciation Day was held Monday, 19 September at the Nicklaus Golf Club at Lionsgate in Overland Park, Kansas. Over 300 people were in attendance; it was a day for priests and seminarians to relax but most of all it was a day for them to know that they’re appreciated. The day consisted of many events including golfers who competed for a $2,000 cash prize for the parish of their choosing. The day also consisted of a Texas Hold‘em poker tournament, good food, and fellowship. The event could not have been possible without the support of C.O.R.E. (Celebrate our Religious Enthusiastically), the Serra Clubs of Metro KC, families, and parishes. As C.O.R.E. said, “all proceeds support the needs of our clergy and seminarians, who have given their lives to help bring God to our lives.” If you would like more information including registration and sponsorship opportunities for the annual Priests and Seminarians Appreciation Day, please visit online at  www.CelebrateOurReligious.org.
