Pre-Theology Program
Established in 1992, the Pre-Theology program prepares men seeking candidacy for the priesthood who have already earned a college degree. Built around the four dimensions of priestly formation: human, spiritual, intellectual and pastoral, the Pre-Theology program prepares men for the next stage of priestly formation and for graduate theological studies.
To be eligible for the Pre-Theology Program, an applicant must:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Have sponsorship of a diocese or religious order
Upon completion of the Pre-Theology program, seminarians will have developed a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church, enabling them to further their vocational discernment, engage in graduate theological studies, and advance to the next stage of priestly formation.
